Your friends at Sunday Mass bring you the 21st installment of their deep house getdown at the Endup and its bound to be a special one! This month we bring you our first Sunday Mass VINYL EDITION. Yes that's right...six DJs bringing you quality house music on wax all night long! We came up with the idea for this party several months back. The idea was to throw a party with 6 DJs that were instrumental in supplying House music vinyl to the bay area and we think we've come up with quite the lineup.
Any DJ that has purchased vinyl in San Francisco probably has bought music from Leonard on more than one occasion. He began in the record business at Tower Records by selling early acid house records to the likes of the Wicked Crew. He then went on to manage the famed Clear Records where he was the main house music buyer. Most recently, Leonard owned In House Records which quickly became a mecca for quality house music for both out-of-town djs and residents alike.
Another key player in the bay area vinyl game was Harry Who. Harry was the man behind Solid Grooves, an oasis for south bay DJs and house music enthusiasts. This man has been in the game for many years and from what we're told boasts an incredible record collection. Come see what Harry Who has in store for us on this special night!
The last of our three special headliners for the evening is Tony Hewitt. The man behind key labels like Tango, Nightshift, and Detour, Tony has released hundreds of records on these 3 labels alone. However, what many don't realize is that while Tony was releasing music on his own labels, he was at the same time pressing and distributing records for dozens of other top notch record labels and we can't be any more thrilled to have him at our Sunday Mass Vinyl Party!
Rounding out this special lineup is Ivan Ruiz, Izzy, and Greg Yuen. Ivan previously worked at In House Records, TRC Distribution, and Tweekin Records so we know he's had his hand in SF's House music vinyl history. Izzy also worked at Tweekin Records and Greg sold his fair share of wax at Primal Records in the east bay. Needless to say these 3 will be starting the night off in proper style.
As always, we invite you to RSVP for FREE entry Before Midnight by sending your FIRST/LAST name ( sorry NO +1s ) to m.deep.music@gmail.com or clicking "Attending" here on Facebook by Noon the day of the party!
